Transportation Safety Consultant. Mr. Hall is a leading expert on transportation safety, security, crisis management and government relations. He has served government and private clients for more than 35 years. He has served as Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (1994-2001). During his tenure as Chairman, the NTSB issued landmark safety studies on commuter airlines, the air tour industry, the performance and use of child restraint systems, the dangers to children from passenger-side airbags in automobiles, personal watercraft, transit bus operations, railway passive grade crossings and train accidents/collisions. He visited more than 30 nations as Chairman and oversaw a period of unprecedented activity as the NTSB investigated numerous major aviation, rail, pipeline and maritime accidents in the U.S. and international locations.

Prior to serving as NTSB Chairman, Mr. Hall was a Cabinet Member for the State of Tennessee, a member of the staff of U.S. Senator Al Gore, Sr., Counsel to the Senate Subcommittee on Intergovernmental Relations, Attorney in private practice and a commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army (1967-1973). He was recognized with the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service in Vietnam in 1969. He is Co-Chairman for the U.S. Forest Service blue ribbon committee to review and study U.S. firefighting aircraft. He serves in the National Academy of Engineering's Committee on Combating Terrorism and the Aviation Institute Advisory Board of George Washington University. Mr. Hall has appeared before several Congressional Committees to provide testimony and information involving Transportation Safety.
